A GIFT for you…

Our church has organized a children rally today and it was a beautiful sight seeing the enthusiasm of all the volunteers serving with delight. Jesus sits on the throne; Almighty God reigns!

It was so glorious to see so many children respond to God’s calling. One by one coming forward for prayer and to accept this free GIFT of God Jesus Christ into their lives. (My friend had a vision from God a week ago… “It happened just like I saw it in my head with hundreds of children going up! It was so clear in my head”

God cares for you
I have sinned
Free gift from God — Jesus Christ
Trust in Jesus our Savior

Cast all your care on Him because He cares for you. I Peter 5:7

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23

For the wages of sin is death … Romans 6:23a

… but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ, our Lord. Romans 6:23b

Jesus says: I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

Thanks be to God…
For God demonstrates His Love to us in this… while we were still sinners, Christ died for us Romans 5:8

My niece-in-law is so smart… she planted the papaya trees not only for the fruit but to help shield the afternoon scorching sun from shining into her kitchen.  Her  neighbors like her idea and so they all planted the papaya trees in their backyard.

Looks like this time I come back at the right season — fruity season!

My dear childhood friend and her husband never fail to prepare sumptuous meal for me to enjoy. They also love bringing me to fruit farm.

This is the first time I ever seen okana or black olives on branches and trees!

“Black olives’ or  ‘Okana’ is one of my favorite food.

To enjoy dabai, one has to placed the fruit in a lukewarm water to soften them.
However many of us prefer to “cook” or to “soften” the fruit with soya sauce and sugar under the hot sun for a couple of hour. This method of cooking make the flesh of the fruit even more flavourful.

We enjoyed playing creative games with the seeds after we ate the softened flesh but these days not too many people play with the seeds anymore.

We would wash and dry the seeds…

chop them up into halves and eat the refreshing kernel inside… nothing is put to waste!

Another blessing from the earth is of course durians! And when it comes to this king of the fruit… it’s usually durian buffet for us — eat all you want!

The highlight for me at durian orchard was listening to durians dropping from the trees in the middle of the night.  Then early the next morning we would run out to the orchard to pick the fresh durians and had them for breakfast!  I was told that durian never hit people’s head when it drops!
