Happy Easter! Easter celebration points us to the unfathomable God who has raised Jesus from the death.
This Easter Sunday, we focused on The Great “I AM” sayings of Jesus; Instead of stuffing the slip of bible verse into the “empty easter egg” as object lesson, we used the “fortune cookies”, which we named it “blessing cookies”.
After enjoying the cookie, each child recited to each other the “I Am” verse that they received in the cookie; then they placed the slip of the bible verse at the various stations, giving them a better grasp of who the Resurrected Christ personally meant to them.
I AM the Bread of Life, whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. (John 6:35)
I AM the Light of the world, whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12)
I AM the Gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. (John 10:9)
I AM the Good Shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. (John 10:11)
I AM the Resurrection and the Life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die. (John 11:25)
I AM the Way and the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6)
Jesus said to Thomas:“Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” John 20:29
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.(Romans 10:9)
